I used to have a social life.

It's kinda tragic that I just sat here for ten minutes, staring at an empty screen, realizing I actually don't have much to blog about.

Strange... when I used to have SOOOO much to blog about, it would take me DAYS to finish writing and uploading photos for ONE post. And now I sit here blank.

*blink*blink*

That doesn't mean I've been cooped up at home watching reruns on TV in my smelly jammies though (as much as that sounds VERY appealing!). As I mentioned in my previous posts, work has consumed my life. And I don't like writing about work. Cause that's boring. Work is work.

Since work is all I do these days, Talent Hub's blog gets updated more regularly than mine. My work blog is more happening than my social blog. Now that's tragic!

Speaking of that, I'm working on Talent Hub's new website. Well, technically I'm working on the copy and Lyck is working on the design. I've officially given up on Site Builder which is the program I've been using for Talent Hub's current website. You know what you can do with Site Builder? JACK ALL! It's useless. U-S-E-L-E-S-S!

The new website will incorporate everything including the photo blog and all other info currently not available. At least I hope it will....

The hard part is going to be Lyck attempting to teach me how to maintain it on my own after that. She said its easy peasy. But she's the graphic designer and I'm the dance instructor. It's like me telling her Tango is easy. As much as I would like to believe that I'm quite savvy, I'm really a techno moron.

Like my sexy red external hard drive for example. My hard drive comes with some files already in it. And the manual (yes, I read manuals) says "DO NOT DELETE THESE FILES". It keeps the hard drive running I assume? Anyway, I accidentally clicked on one of those folders the other day thinking it was something else, and discovered it had a virus! GASP! Anti virus pops up and telling me to move it to vault. So I move it to vault and it disappears. Thinking if one has a virus... maybe the rest have viruses too! So I clicked on the other folders. And as predicted, it had a virus! Move to vault, move to vault, move to vault!!!

Then I realized.... CRAP! All these folders are now in some vault, but I'm not supposed to delete them from the hard drive!

I proceeded to call all my more savvy computer friends. None of them really understood what I was rambling on about.

"Does it still work?" - Yes it still works.

"Then I guess it's ok?" - I guess so... but not-supposed-to-delete-files are gone!

"But it works?" - You don't get the point!

So their conclusion, just continue using it until something really happens. Then take it to the shop.

I'm convinced this is bad advice.

I blame this on my assistant, Omar, who is the only other person who uses my hard drive. And he openly admits that his laptop has a lot of viruses. He must have transferred it to me. And when I told him this, he smiled meekly at me! Bleah!

So now I have a hard drive with missing 'important' folders. And it bugs me cause I'm anal that way.

I really shouldn't be so anal.

Like the other day, I was playing Lego with Rayn, and was building a house. So he helped me pile the Lego blocks to make the wall. However, my 2 and a half year old nephew has a mind of his own. Some bricks weren't piled on "straight". As in they were "sticking out" of my wall. Now, some out-of-the-box-thinkers might have just accepted this as part of the architectural design of the house. But nooooo. Anal Godma would not. So I removed his brick and straightened it out. Rayn watched me do this, very unhappy that I messed with his masterpiece, so he took it out again and placed it how it was originally meant to be.

Was I going to lose to my nephew who is not even 3 years old? Heck no. So I said, "Oh Rayn, we need a long piece for the wall. Look for a nice long Lego piece in the box".

And so he rummages the box for all the other Lego pieces. With his back safely turned, Anal Godma straightened out the Lego piece to make her perfectly straight wall. And when short attention span Rayn turned around again, it was like nothing happened at all.

Poor Rayn is going through a major jealousy phase though. Think he finally realizes that Ilyas is here to stay. And he will have to share everything including attention (wait till Ilyas is old enough to share his Lego!!).

Ilyas is such a cutie pie. He just turned a month old. Chinese confinement was over so they were allowed to go out for one day. They visited both grandparents houses then we all went for lunch at Alexis, BSC.

I just noticed I don't have a picture of Ilyas when this was his day out!

Being vegetarian, I ordered the Angel Hair Aglio Olio. Who would have known that it came with these huge lobster looking things??? And I don't even eat seafood on normal days anyway!

After that outing, it was back to confinement again for another 14 or so days.for Ilyas and my sister. That's what happens when you have to follow two culturally different confinements!

Little Aditya has also turned a month old. Went for his one month old blessing ceremony the other day. He's so cute! His hair is so thick it feels like velvet! Still so strange seeing Anu as a mommy.

Last week I met up with a bunch of friends at a new-ish restaurant in BSC called Vineria. The food was really good! Good comments all around the table.

After dinner we wanted to go to WIP for drinks but it was ridiculously crowded so we went to TwentyOne instead (which also became ridiculously crowded after a few hours).

Our famous friend had a FULL PAGE picture in New Man magazine (and like a 4 page write-up!). We tried to use it to our advantage to get a table.
It worked :)

Yeah.... so that's as far as my once-used-to-be-happening social life goes. And as I type this, I am home on a Friday night, while the happening people of KL are literally going mad in their hats at Zouk's 6th Anniversary Mad Hatters Party. Was there last year... was there the year before... and the year before... maybe the year before that too. Now I can't even imagine wanting to go for it while I sit here in my jammies (fresh, not smelly) typing away to my depleting readers caused by my inconsistent blogging. Ah... how life has changed.
