BOH Cameronian Arts Awards

Before going to Sabah, I went for the very last BOH Cameronian Arts Awards. It was the final one because Kakiseni is closing down. It was such sad news and I only found out just before attending the Nominees Party at Alexis a couple of months back.

The arts industry in Malaysia is very small. Everyone pretty much knows everyone... and everyone knows one thing... we don't make money in the arts. Most people do it for the passion. They do it for very little money. Sometimes, they do it for no money at all.

It was heart breaking to hear that Kakiseni was closing down mainly due to financial reasons. Nevertheless during their run, they provided a great portal for everyone to get information about what's in and what's out in the arts industry. And of course, the yearly glitzy affair to award all those passionate people who put up fabulous shows for our enjoyment.

What's next after the Cammies? We'll have to wait and see....

Unlike previous years, this year's after-party was held at Sultan's Lounge. And I must say, it was the best after-party of all the Cammies I've been for!

BAD's Birthday Present

Many of you might have heard me complain about how I'm rubbish at buying presents for BAD. Most of the time, he would choose what he wants and I would pay for it. He on the other hand, is EXCELLENT at buying gifts for me and has managed to surprise me over and over again.

After cracking my head a year in advance, I finally decided what I was going to get him. I managed to keep it a secret until the day he opened the BIG shampoo box filled with newspaper.

Needless to say, he LOVED the Wii!!!!

And I am now a Wii-dow.

The first night, we spent HOURS playing Wii Sports! Tennis, Bowling, Baseball, Golf, and Boxing.

He kicked my ass at every damn game and was so damn cocky about it! Victory dances were aplenty.... *rolls eyes*

Whatever... I LET him win anyway.

Ha!



Pole Stars

The finals of Pole Stars was held at The Opera, Sunway. The theme: Glam Rock.

The standard of some contestants was very impressive! I was once again a Judge so I had the best seat in the house. There were three categories - Exotic Pole, Fit Pole, and Professional. Miko, our Pole Instructor won for the professional category and she was u-n-b-e-l-i-e-v-a-b-l-e! The muscles on that girl is seriously unreal.

Just a quickie post cause I'm off to another holiday tomorrow morning! I know, I know... I just came back from one. But BAD planned this holiday all by himself and it's a surprise (I told you the boy is good with surprises!). Besides, if the boy says he's taking me on a holiday, I ain't gonna say no! He has given me a clue every week and I THINK I know where we're going. But he might just be throwing me off track so I don't guess the real venue.

Since I don't know where we're going... I've majorly over packed. MAJORLY. For 4D/3N, I've packed 6 bikinis. You reckon that's enough?

Oh, and apparently there's no phone reception there. What kinda place doesn't have phone reception??!! Maybe he's taking us camping! GASP!!

I'm hoping there's at least wifi so I can check on Omar (my assistant) to see if everything is ok at the Hub! Eeeeeeek! *Repeats to self*.... I trust Omar.... I trust Omar... .I trust Omar.... I trust Omar....

Anyway, will blog all about it when I get back. I'm sooooooo excited!
