The last two months has been filled with lovely weddings and birthdays. Here are a few snapshots in random order.
Min Hui and Alvin's WeddingMin Hui a.k.a Nicole, my friend from high school married her college sweetheart Alvin. They had a grand wedding at Sunway Resort Hotel. It was the same night as the MTV concert... which caused me to be stuck IN the hotel carpark for one hour looking for parking!
The wedding was lovely and Min Hui looked stunning!

Anusha's Birthday
Puva organized a BBQ party for Anu's birthday at their new house.
Happy birthday Nushie! Check out cute little Aditya in her hands!

Melanie Abraham's WeddingA close family friend, and my sister's best friend - Melanie came back from the UK to tie the knot with Rob. The wedding ceremony was held at St. Mary's while the reception was at Saujana. She is one of the nicest people I know, and am so thrilled for her!

Rayn turns 3!How time flies! My little man is now 3 years old! Old enough to decide on his own where he wanted his birthday party (Jungle Gym) and what cake he would like (Star Wars).

Joanne & Valentino's WeddingAnother family friend and later on college mate - Joanne married Valentino. Their reception was held at KL Convention Centre. I taught them their wedding dance- first a Rumba to "Fallen" followed by a Merengue to "Suavemente". For more photos on their wedding, check out
Talent Hub's blog.
Melanie Pillai (now Schmitz!)'s "small" wedding do.Melanie was my senior in Assunta. I've not seen her in the last 10 years I reckon. She invited some of us for a "small do" at her house to celebrate their wedding. We thought it was just a small party to catch up. You know... home cooked food, sitting on the couch and catching up... that kinda thing. But we should have known better. When an Indian girl (whether or not she's marrying a German!) says "small do".... don't trust her. Wear a Saree or be terribly under-dressed like the rest of us!
Congrats MELEK!Micheal Chen's Birthday
Right after Mel's party, I went for a completely different type of party. Micheal's birthday at Palette Palette. We've known each other since we were 13, and every year for as long as I can remember, his birthday has always clashed with another party! This year I managed to squeeze in both parties and have photographic evidence that I was there so he cannot hold it against me.
Glenn's 21st BirthdayBecky's brother Glenn turned 21. A few family and friends went over for steamboat dinner at the Harding house.

The "rejects" tableMother's 60th BirthdayMy mama turned 60! So my siblings, BIL and BAD threw her a high-tea party for 60 friends. We booked the whole upstairs of
Vincenzo @ One Bangsar.
We decked up the whole place in the theme of Green and Pink and everyone came dressed according to the colour theme too!
Candles, flowers, petals, and a thank you gift for everyone to take home

Other than the birthdays and weddings, I've been busy organizing two things:
1) Talent Hub's 5th Anniversary Party.
Date: 31st October 2010.
Time: 3pm-8pm.
Tickets: RM40 inclusive of food and drinks.
Venue: Mist Club
Do come and support me! We've been working super hard to put up a good show so we need all the support we can get!
2) Garage Sale
My friends and I are having a garage sale to sell all our pre-loved items. There are a few other people who are selling brand new items too. So if you've got time next weekend, do drop by! Details are in the post below.
Amongst other things, I'm selling ALL my beloved soft toys. You have no idea how hard this is for me. I keep them for sentimental value. I remember who gave me which toy at which point of my life. I wanted to keep them for my children if I ever have any one day. But apparently that's not cool. It's also not cool that I still have hundreds of fluffy friends at my age. So apparently its time to grow up. Man.... growing up sucks.
I've also gone for some artsy stuff. Watched Sparks of Broadway, Cuci The Musical, My Lingam Speaks, and The Reluctant Saint.
Have a lot of stuff that I would like to blog about including a shop in Ikano that I'm very annoyed by. But will save all that for another time.
Shobha is back from the UK with Paul and we are off to Lang Tengah tomorrow for some sand, sea, and sun! Weeee! Can never get enough! But looking out of my window now... I'm not sure how much sun we are gonna get.
See ya when I get back!
Quote of the day: Growing up is never easy. You hold on to things that were. You wonder what's to come. But that night, I think we knew it was time to let go of what had been, and look ahead to what would be. Other days. New days. Days to come. The thing is, we didn't have to hate each other for getting older. We just had to forgive ourselves... for growing up. (The Wonder Years)
